Greetings, Oakley families!
As your principal, I am thrilled and privileged to be serving you. My educational journey began in 1991, and since then, I have had the opportunity to experience various roles within the education system. From being a classroom teacher to a school board member, instructional coach, and assistant principal, my focus has always been on transforming the lives of young learners.
As a leader, my top priority is to create a positive and safe environment where every stakeholder feels heard, valued, and supported. Building strong relationships is the foundation of my leadership approach, and I am dedicated to exceeding expectations by going above and beyond. Whether it's collaborating with colleagues, uplifting parents and guardians, or empowering students, nothing motivates me more than making a lasting impact in the lives of those I serve.
Every day, my passion for leadership is fueled by an unwavering belief in the power of kindness, positivity, and setting high expectations. Through these values, I strive to create a nurturing and empowering educational experience for all.

My name is Janeice Chambers and I am thrilled to be a part of New Caney ISD. Oakley Elementary is a very special campus and I love serving my students, families and community.
I relocated to Porter from the Dallas/Frisco area.
I moved here because my daughter and her family relocated here. I am blessed to have my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter living near me so it makes it easy for us to see each other very often.. I love absolutely spending time with them as a family. We enjoy our family dinners, traveling together and attending church together. I also have a Standard Poodle named Remy that I hike and swim with for relaxation.
I believe that ALL lives matter and add value to this wonderful thing called life. I believe that one Act of Kindness can change a person’s life. I try wholeheartedly to be an example to others by my actions.
I am happy to be an Assistant Principal at OES and I hope that I am here to serve for many years to come. We are going to be “Great on Purpose” everyday! I am truly thankful to be a part of this wonderful school.

I am very excited about the opportunity of supporting teachers, parents, and students in my new role as an Assistant Principal for the 23-24 school year.
I have been an educator since 2006. I have taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th-grade students, RtI K-4, Spanish Dyslexia, and, most recently, I was Oakley's Emergent Bilingual Instructional Coach.
I genuinely enjoy working with kids, teachers, and the school community. I look forward to all the opportunities for learning, working, and growing up together that the year ahead will bring.
